With over fifteen years of experience working with people from many of the world’s nations, I emphasise an approach that seeks to understand the cultural, familial and personal perspectives of each person.
Each of us is affected by the particular world we grow up in. Over time, as we grow, we develop a view of the world shaped by our society and family, their beliefs, values and ways of going about things.
It is easy to make assumptions about others based on our own world view. In my work I bring an awareness of my own world view and a questioning approach to my own assumptions. I seek to find a meeting place between myself and the person I am working with, creating a space where very differing world views can establish a common ground for communication and reflection.
