Why do we dream?
Dreams bring awareness to each of us in the form of images that are pertinent to what is going on in our present life. Discussing dreams can bring to mind previously forgotten experiences and memories that are relevant to the issue at hand. Dreams are a form of communication to us just as our thoughts and emotions are. Sometimes understanding how they relate to waking life can be confusing. What may seem a riddle may on examination be pleasantly surprising and refreshing, offering new perspectives to current dilemmas.
It is the therapist’s job is to support the clients to explore and discover the meaning the dream has for them. I have extensive training and experience in dream work. I also regularly provide training and supervision to other professionals in this aspect of therapeutic work.
